When I get home, I put on pajamas
When I get home, it’s all about putting on my ‘comfy’ clothes. My comfy clothes are ‘seasonal’ depending on the weather outside. You can find me wearing a great pair of shorts or I’ll be wearing some long legged pajamas and sweatshirt. Either way it’s all about winding down from the daily grind.

The end of an era, and the beginning of another
The end of nursing school was an enormous change. Nursing school was full-time for 18 months with no break. My classmates and I were together every day and we saw each other more than we saw our families. So going from that environment to graduating and working as a nurse was an adjustment. It was exciting, I was nervous and I was somewhat sad. I would miss my classmates but looked forward to...

What I Like Most About My Job
I love the ability of making a difference in someone’s life. As a nurse I get to see and care for people on some of their worst days. I love the autonomy of my work, the ability to use critical thinking and problem solving. I get to see some of the most amazing things and meet some of the most amazing people.

Some like it hot?? Why on earth??
I can’t for the life of me figure out how someone ‘like’s hot sauce on their food. First of all the word ‘hot’ is not that inviting. Then there is your actions after the effects. No amount of water will cool down your mouth (they claim milk helps). I guess I’m still trying to understand how this is enjoyable???

Murphy's Laws
11.. Law of the Theater & Hockey Arena - At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle always arrive last. The folks in the aisle seats come early, never move once, have long gangly legs or big...

My Favorite Summer Memory
Of course, my favorite summer memory is being a pre-teen. We used to go swimming either at our friends pool, or the local lake just about everyday. No worries, no responsibilities. Just fun in the sun. Ahh. gewd times.

Red Shirt Fridays
Red  Shirts   If the red shirt thing is new to you, read below how it went for a man. Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a Marine sergeant traveling with a folded flag, but did not put two and two together. After we boarded our flight, I turned to the sergeant,...
