Is It Really Worth It?
It will require commitment and dedication. It will require you to say “no” sometimes. It will require sacrifice. It won’t be quick. It won’t be easy. It won’t be fun all of the time Your friends will laugh at you for doing things differently. Your coworkers will gawk and poke fun at your new eating habits. Your loved ones will call you crazy and ask you to “be normal.” You will have to...

It’s this year’s Fighter, and every other overcoming adversity film that I can’t stand anymore.
LOL… so I’m not alone on this one. Thanks. :)

Movie Watchable?: Warrior
via iwatchstuff.com Tom Hardy ‘beasted’ up for this.. and Joel Edgerton just has that edgy look. I just can’t shake the feeling that this movie is basically ‘The Fighter’ & ‘Cinderella Man’ thrown in a bowl and stirred together with some MMA fighting. Or is it just me?

AWESOME photos. I was so jealous to never have been to Niagara, then was informed by my Mom that I went when she was 6 mos. pregnant. Sadly I do not remember the stunning views… ;) So glad you had a great time with wifey!
LMAO… too funny. Yes, we had a great time Thanks!

Glad to see you had a good time! I assume you went to Clifton Hill when you went over the border. If you saw Boston Pizza, then that’s pretty much where I spent time getting drunk during college, haha.
I can’t say we spent a great deal of time there, but yes we buzzed through a lot of it! I don’t think my college...

Our weekend awa(y)cation to Niagara →
We wanted one last ‘hurrah’ for the summer before the fall semester started up for me. So we decided on a weekend to Niagara Falls. Since we actually possessed passports (from our Saint Thomas trip) we decided to hop on over the border to Canada.
Wow!
It was awesome.
We drove up Friday. Checked in to our (ridiculously large) hotel room.
We booked some seats at a local magic show, so we...

It annoys me that they try to give the studies dumb acronyms in human medicine (and, increasingly, in vet cardiology). I think “ARISTOTLE” is about the worst one I’ve ever heard. ;)
Yeah - not sure why they do that. I always thought it was for simplicity.. but I really think its an advertising ploy of some sort.

Apixaban: The anticoagulation debate continues
PARIS — Compared with warfarin treatment, atrial fibrillation patients treated with the investigational factor Xa inhibitor apixaban had fewer strokes or embolic events, fewer major bleeding events, and were less likely to die during an average of almost two years of treatment, researchers said. Those results emerged from the 18,201-patient ARISTOTLE study, which was published online...
